4 ♕ [Video]

[The view on the screen is upside-down and shaky, the folds of her dress being the only thing visible at first. The video tilts up, revealing her face and expression, much paler than usual and absolutely terrified.]

Link--! Sheik--! [Her voice is shrill, panicked.] He's here! Ganondorf is here!

[Once again the view on the screen is jostled around as she turns the communicator to point it at 'Ganondorf'. However, it turns out that the other creature in her croft is actually just a bunny. A fluffy, tan, line-faced bunny that is just shuffling forward into the center of the room.

Of course, this only causes Zelda to become even more agitated. With a little shriek, she tries to press herself further into the corner of the room, the communicator falling out of her hands and onto the floor. In her mind, the walls of her house are pressing in, smothering her with darkness, and Ganondorf is towering over her, backing her into the wall, waiting to torture and kill her. For some reason all rational thought has fled, leaving her cold, terrified, alone.]



((OOC: Zelda had borrowed a book from the Mansion's library, and keeping it this long has caused her to hallucinate and develop a case of irrational fear, etc. The book has now been borrowed by Aveil, and yes, Saki's new bunny is the 'Ganondorf' in this hallucination.))

[At least she's out of the croft now, and with that comes a bit more sanity and control. She turns to him, taking a deep breath.]

It's better now, but I do not know how long it will be before the voices return.

Ganondorf stands at the doorway, and his followers are gathered by the window. Behind them the room is shrouded in darkness...

[What Sheik will see though is just Saki's bunny sitting just inside the open door, nibbling on something. The croft is dark but not that dark, since the light reaches the room through the window. Nothing suspicious at all.]

[He looks from the doorway - empty save for the rabbit, innocuous - to her, studying her closely before making a decision.

And then he strides forward towards the building, stepping over the rabbit and heading inside. Whatever's causing this has to be rooted to the place, surely?]

[She inhales sharply when she sees him walk towards her croft, holding a hand out almost to stop him before realizing that it would be safe for him. These monsters haunt only her.]

Please be careful! [She warns him anyway, though there's really nothing harmless in there. Just a bunny inside a very tidy croft.]

Don't worry, your Highness. There is nothing here that will hurt me.

[That said, Ganondorf may very well do worse than hurt him - but he reckons he has little to worry about from the rabbit. He looks around once inside, frowning. Usually, he'd expect the source to be obvious to his eyes, but there's nothing remotely suggestive of such a thing.

His frown deepens and, inobtrusively, he starts to pick around the place for something he might have missed.]

[She's not coming anywhere near the croft to check.]

...Nothing. [He picks up that crown, though, scanning the room again. This is disconcerting - perhaps the problem does lie with her? Eyeing the crown for a moment, he carries it out to her and, with a respectful bow of his head, places it atop hers. Just incase.]

[She's relieved to have the crown back, and though she can still see the visions in her croft, it's easier to accept that they are mere hallucinations now. But that's not enough to solve the problem.]

I shall have to think back to when I believe it first started. [Having the crown allows her to think a little clearly, so this is no longer a challenge.]

Perhaps a short while after the dragon's attack on the village. I had used up a lot of my power, but I continued to feel weak despite several days of rest. At first, that was all it was. A bit of tiredness, a slight headache, but soon I began noticing the shadows...

[Noone else has experienced such things since Sindragosa's attack, which rules that out as an explanation, it seems.]

You've... hn. [The idea that comes to him seems strange, but his experience with the gods of World's End taught him better.] You haven't... found anything, have you? An artefact, an item - anything at all. You didn't happen to pick something up?

The only item I recall is the book I borrowed from the Mansion's library. [Her brow furrows in thought.] I have had it for some time though, and these hallucinations only started recently.

[He really thinks it's the book? She stares intently at the ground, trying to focus solely on the memories of the past few days so that she could arrive at the answer more quickly.]

I have not seen it since the attack.

[The attack. Haven't other people been complaining of missing things? For some, it might be a far leap of logic, for Sheik, it's instantaneous, and he has no doubt this book is the cause. Which means he has to return it. Then, he assumes, the situation will right itself.

And, given what he's seen on the network lately, and given the absence of their Gerudo friend during the fight, Sheik has an inkling as to where he might find it.

He looks at the princess directly.]

I believe I know how to fix this, your Highness.
